STYLE

Notebook writing is a type of writing in which people scribble down something they’ve just thought or heard. A notebook’s contents are unstructured, and the number of subjects covered is limitless: a paragraph on autobiography can be followed by a paragraph about astronomy or history.

MOOD

Because of the sickness that is taking Allie’s mind, her mood can be challenging and even sorrowful at times. Despite the inevitability of Allie’s future, there is a sense of victory because, in the end, love triumphs, no matter how hard life tries to make it otherwise.
